No previous experience is needed, the course is designed to explain all you need to know, even if you are a beginner. By the time you get to the end of the course you will have some coding skills, will have developed your own website and will then be able to use the skills you have acquired to build on what you have done so far.
There are three modules, which explain the difference between the World Wide Web and the internet. We also look at web development conventions, and how different coding languages are employed to perform different functions.
The second module explains what role HTML plays in website development. You will even learn to create your own code, and add text and images to your site and get an appreciation of how complex HTML websites are created.
Then in module 3 we will look at CSS and how that is used in web development. You will learn about data encryption and a technology called SSL (Secure Socket Layers).
